For the first time in history, significant in-depth studies have been performed allowing science to explore what happens when we close our eyes, go within, and connect to SOURCE. Following the same protocols for pharmaceutical studies, scientists from the University of California, San Diego were able to extract data from thousands of people worldwide, using Dr Joe Dispenza retreats as their testing grounds.

Gil Pender (Owen Wilson) is a screenwriter and aspiring novelist. Vacationing in Paris with his fiancee (Rachel McAdams), he has taken to touring the city alone. On one such late-night excursion, Gil encounters a group of strange -- yet familiar -- revelers, who sweep him along, apparently back in time, for a night of art and literature. The more time Gil spends with these cultural heroes of the past, the more dissatisfied he becomes with the present.

Frank (Bruce Willis) is retired, bored, and lonely living off of his government pension. The only joy in Frank's life is his calls to Sarah (Mary-Louise Parker), his government pension case worker. Sarah is as bored and lonely as Frank and makes conversations with the Frank about her spy novels as the only things fun in her life. When something in Frank's past forces him back into his old line of work and puts an unwitting Sarah in the middle of the intrigue, Frank and Sarah begin a journey into his past and the people with whom he used to work. Retired C.I.A. Agent Frank Moses (Bruce Willis) is in love with Sarah Ross (Mary-Louise Parker) and enjoying their normal life. Out of the blue, Marvin Boggs (John Malkovich) meets Frank in the supermarket and tells that Wikileaks has released the information that they have knowledge on the whereabouts of the Nightshade, a portable nuclear weapon that was smuggled in pieces and hidden in Russia. Now they, and top agents in the world, are in a race against time to discover where Nightshade is.
